Huancara's Music

What was “Huancara’s” performance like?

Last month the band “Huancara” performed at school. In the concert, the band played a lot of wind instruments such us sicus, drums, flutes and also guitars. The music they played was from these countries and communities: Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, Africa, Perú, México, Venezuela, and Mapuche. The name of the band was originated because of a drum that sounds like this: “ Brrrrrrrrrr.....!”. This music that they played is folk music, I liked the concert a lot, and I liked the songs very much!

Ariel’s writing is very interesting and I would also like to add that the band that performed at school was made up of musicians who played guitar, bass, percussion and wind instruments.

I like this composition because “HUANCARA” enjoys playing folk music and Ariel likes music. I also learned why the group chose the name “HUANCARA” for the band.
